Gwendolyn Bogard ’20 grew up in the Philomath and Corvallis areas and loved her high school science courses and trips to the Oregon coast. She also enjoyed the performing arts, balancing her love of playing the violin and taking theatre courses as well. With her lab work in high school not so appealing, she focused on theatre arts as she looked for colleges.

Oregon Writing Project at 窪圖勛蹋厙
Diane Heider, a teacher-consultant for the Oregon Writing Project at 窪圖勛蹋厙, hosts workshops for students who are interested in college. Her workshops help students get admitted to prestigious colleges and earn significant scholarships.
Jessica’s Leadership Journey
Jessica Thomas is a Sophomore in the Honors College studying Criminal Justice. She got her inspiration for her Take the Lead project as a freshmen when she toured the Jackson County Juvenile Detention facility as a “Pick and Choose” activity.
Mimi Pieper in 窪圖勛蹋厙 Governance
Mimi Pieper is a Junior in the Honors College, a Computer Science major, and a Student Board Member on the 窪圖勛蹋厙 (窪圖勛蹋厙) Governing Board of Trustees. She has taken the lead in many ways through this position.
Marking a transformative addition to 窪圖勛蹋厙s major in Digital Cinema, the Communication, Media & Cinema program is thrilled to announce the arrival of Vaun Monroe on campus. Newly hired as an assistant professor, Monroe begins in the Fall of 2022 as the programs third full-time faculty member in Digital Cinema.
窪圖勛蹋厙 alumnus Ashley Berry, who graduated in 2018 with a BA in English, recently studied abroad at Oxford University in England, as part of the Columbia Publishing Course. Ashley shares her experience getting into the competitive program, her perspective on studying at the prestigious university, and how her time at 窪圖勛蹋厙 shaped her present and future.
